Educational Support

According to UNICEF, 7.1 million children in India do not attend school. Maya Foundation  aims to ensure that all children attend school so that there is no child labour and that these impoverished children have a bright future. Children who may be future leaders in India are not educated due to illiteracy and poverty, either because their parents cannot afford it or because they are not exposed to a progressive atmosphere.

The Maya Foundation holds educational awareness programmes to raise awareness about the importance and advantages of education. Education broadens one’s horizons. Education is one of the techniques for eradicating poverty since it fosters thinking independence and develops a life perspective. The Maya Foundation is also assisting illiterate parents in enrolling their children in English Schools, and it is dedicated to creating a world where every kid has the right to survival, protection, development, and participation.

Children who score 80 percent or above in the 10th and 12th grades are eligible for a scholarship. The kids are being watched and counselled. Maya Foundation offers scholarships to students from low-income families who wish to pursue higher education.

Poverty, discrimination, and exploitation keep girls out of school. Maya Foundation works at the ground level promoting girl child education. Under this program, we support the education of girl children by paying for their education fees.

Maya Foundation organizes awareness programs on health and personal hygiene for the slum community and for underprivileged children for spreading awareness in the schools and slums on various health issues.

The overall development of the student, in terms of health, social engagements, and healthy nourishment is taken care of through health and immunization camps, counseling, and nutrition through midday meals. We are looking forward to providing appropriate teaching aid and infrastructure facilities like libraries, health care, and literacy promotion programs.

MAYA FOUNDATION UNDERSCORES THE FACT THAT HELPING IS NOT SIMPLY A MATTER OF DISPERSING MONEY BUT OF MAKING A DEEP, LONG TERM COMMITMENT AND CASTING A HARD EYE ON RESULTS.

There are INNUMERABLE families staying in the slums. The families who are staying here are deprived of the basic amenities like drinking water, basic sanitation, adequate nutrition, a clean environment, etc. They are all migrants from Uttar Pradesh , Bihar and other parts of Maharashtra. The men are mostly auto-rickshaw drivers, plumbers, masons, painters, electricians, etc. The women are mostly housewives and a few of them are domestic servants. They cannot afford to teach their children in English medium hence Maya Foundation took this task to teach them the English language to these underprivileged children, by HELPING the illiterate parents to admit their children in the NEARBY school and help them with fees, stationery, food, etc..under our project named…
